You mean: "bobber solo seat ideas needed along with pics" .... :)

http://forums.sohc4.net/index.php?topic=53389.0

-Did you cut the frame or rear any?
-Did you bring the mounting points on the seat in any? Mine are a bit too wide. I'll take & show you what I mean.

there she is! the fugly duck

Hey - I needed a good one for my first post, and you just handed it to me.  I recently acquired a 650C of my own that I was planning a bobber project with - and my intention was black and copper like yours.  I'd be very interested to know where you found that seat and tank.

i got my tank, seat and seat springs off of ebay. I used threaded couplings with machine thread to mount my tank. Drilled a hole in the backbone and welded them in place. The seat is by ultima, and my springs are from justified deffiance.

What model/size tank is it?

Also, I looked at your other thread about mounting the seat...do you have any other pictures that show it attached?  I see that you used some cotter pins on the springs, but I couldn't quite tell from those pics how they all went together on the back.

turned out pretty good. wasnt there supposed to be some copper can on that thing? and is that big disk a gigantic mirror or does the picture just make it look that way? Fender look pretty natural on there.

The disk is a big ol mirror. I can see god in that thing. haha. Yeah I am going to cram all the wires in to the copper can sooner or latter. Yes I do love the fender.

Since someone posted a Harley, I thought it safe to post my newest bobber (and yes it's a Yamaha) but it has the look I was after on the original CB650.

How much of a stretch do you have on that XS chopper? I'd like to see a side view.    That Harley... wow... poor bike.

It's a 3.5" stretch. Here's a side shot.

Here's the latest version of my CB550K...still tons of work to be done but it's getting there (sorry for the crappy pic): It's not as "squatty" as it looks in the photo.  I'll try to update the posts in the "build" thread I have soon. here's the thread: http://forums.sohc4.net/index.php?topic=42338.0
