frame kits
« on: March 23, 2008, 04:22:38 PM »
are there any more of those frame kits circulating around? i just finished pulling the motor from my 64' 750k to replace the head gasket, and i'm going to have to do the same thing in a month or so to re-torque the headbolts.  i love my 750 but with my torn up back/neck pulling the motor is just no damn fun.

A frame kit??  A '64 750??  You crazy!!     Get some neighbor kids to help you out movin the motor.  It'll keep them out of trouble.  And they could probably use some exercise and some learning.

I'm sure you meant 1974 - I'm just sure of it :)

I do have some of these ready. Send me a PM and we'll get it rolling on it's way.

Gordon

$150 delivered to your door within the US. I pay an old, retired friend $120 for his machine shop work and solid cold-rolled steel. I purchase the grade 8 bolts, the 180,000 PSI threaded rod have it cut to lengths for another $20, assemble, provide photos and instructions, wrap/pack/ship. Last count I was only about $100 upside-down :).

My friend Charles does appreciate the work and the small supplement to his "piddling" in the shop.

Once repaired, cover, cam, head, and cylinders can all be removed while the engine sits in her own nest - I know because I've had to do it twice before getting it "right".

Regards,
Gordon

Hello,

Can anyone put me in contact with Gordon to purchase one of these kits? I have a 1973 Honda CB750k3 that has the rails cut and missing (by a previous owner). Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You just did it yourself, I'm sure Gordon will see your request.

Or you can click on his user name to bring up his profile from where you can send him a PM (private mesage if you're new)

That is Gordon in the post above yours.
