Project CB550F
« on: March 19, 2010, 08:38:26 PM »
Hi everyone. This my first post. I joined this site because I am working on a number of cool projects. The first is a CB550F Supersport that I just finished restoring. Just waiting on my son-in-law to paint the side covers and gas tank. The other is a Jr. Dragster frame powered by a 1981 CB650c. I removed the front forks, machined a bracket to connect the rollcage and the steering tube. I will try to send pictures of it. The next project is to take all the rusty chrome parts that are left from the CB550F, sandblast them and paint them. I'm calling the new bike  "Retro-Rod".  I got a frame with a title on e-bay so i'm all set to start. The dragster has been tied-up all winter up here in New York, so its time to take the wraps off and start again.
I have been reading all about the great projects and love the pictures and the story lines.    Keep up the good work, Doug
