Unfortunately I forgot about it until this morning... bummer...

But as a saving grace I'm from Enterprise, play landlord, and have hung out with a bunch of the HSR / LSR crowd...

I have been watching--Speed channel has very good coverage.
Never been to the Dayona 24--been to Sebring 12 hr many times.
There is something about these long distance races that I find intriguing (sp?).
I don't know if there's a live internet broadcast--.

Been watching it.  There is live timing and scoring on the net.  One of the DP cars has a few bike champions driving it.  The 09. driving.

Daytona ace Scott Russell is one driver.
I assume everyone has seen video of Russell's accident at Daytona--surprised he survived !

They showed it at the start of the race yesterday on fox.  Their care caught fire in the pits but is back out now.

Donohue wins!

they also bring the Grand Am series to VIR along with the Sun Trust Moto ST, we were there last year.
Great race there too.

David Donohue with the  Bromos Porsche team wins this year's race 40 years after his father. The concentration that these drivers and their teams have is pretty amazing to sustain that level for that long. Donohue beat Montoya during their last stint driving. I'm glad, not a big Montoya fan but he is still a great driver.

Congratulations to Donohue (DP) and Valentine (GT) for their wins.

I've raced Daytona and it takes a toll on a car. I can't imagine a car staying together WAO for 24 hours.
