Some kind of weird spam, maybe?  I don't know, the other posts don't make any damn sense either.

I have traveled maybe 4500 mile in my Shark Evoline and am enjoying it.  I still have an old Shoei RF200 that I like too.  The new Shoei and Arai are just sooo expensive.

I owned a Kiwi (K10???) that was not a very comfortable helmet.  The opening was so small that you have to buy a larger size just to get your head into it.  One of my favorites back in the day was an Arthur Fulmer full face.  In the 80's I had one that I really liked a lot.  I haven't found much to like about the new line of A-F that re-appeared a few years ago.  Bell was good in the 80's too, but I can't seem to find a decent feeling/fitting Bell for my head either.

haven't read all the replies so I'm sure someone else mentioned this, but you can't look too sexy if you're retarded or missing part of your face.

Why do you hate disfigured retarded people?  ::)

And if your comments were inspired by the painted helmet in my post I have to tell you the helmet is older than you are and the last time I wore it was when that old Ronald Reagan mask was topical.....

Now, please post a picture of your cool black helmet so we can comment about it too.  ;D

I don't hate anybody that rides a bike of any kind. and I wasn't talkin about your helmet, just how stupid I used to be by comparison. and the only reason I care is because people die all the time wearing fake helmets. and then their relatives and friends say "oh, motorcycling is dangerous"

Davida makes open faced jet helmets that seem pretty good, but the 1/2 helmets are only good for ridin a skateboard or goin to the store a block away.

I have a buddy who just died a couple weeks ago riding w/out a real helmet. we all thought he would die of liver failure.

I used to do lots of stupid crap. shooting dope. robbing banks. riding greyhound. using #$%*ty helmets while riding at top speed though alleys crossing blind intersections. (all true) but once I made it to 30 I decided I prob won't die young. so how do I want my life as a geezer to work out. I could be drooling in a coma, hooked up to machines... or trying to fill the 50 states map on the back of my airstream.

I try not to do stupid #$%* anymore. I've had a bunch of friends die for stupid reasons. trying to look cool seems to be the stupidest of all.

sorry to get all serious on you guys, but it is kind of a serious issue. death and retardation.

Thought I'd chime in since I didn't see a helmet like mine:

Z1R Ace.  It's a lot of helmet for the money ($90).  It has a removable liner for cleaning, air vents in the top, and is pretty aerodynamic.  The full faced Z1Rs get good safety reviews, but I really don't like the full faced helmets, they just don't feel right to me.  Someday I'll try and get used to them, because they really are better.  I don't care much about style, but I think this one's pretty good looking.
Here's an action shot with it on.

it's a little like the HJC IS-33 I've got for about $130.

Yup, the IS-33 was in the running when I bought mine.  I wish I could remember why I chose the Z1R instead, but I really can't remember.  Soon I'm going to do the helmet shopping thing all over again because I've realized my helmet is one size too big.  I'll try the HJCs again and see how I like them.

Does anyone know anything about the NOS Bell helmets at this Ebay store. I bought a NOS Buco a few years ago at another Ebay store and when I got it the lining was falling out in a weird sticky mess. I am not even sure it was a real Buco, seemed kind of too plastic. Also, did anyone ride with one of these back in the day and which is most comfortable the GT2 or the ProStar?

I wish my AGV was leather wrapped on the exterior like my helmet in Australia (which I don't have a picture of...)

Sure looks cool and keeps the exterior from getting scuffed all to hell

I have a friend who told me he wanted to get this helmet:

It's a freakin' fire fighter's helmet.  I told him he'd look dumb riding around with that on, on his stock honda shadow.  He said I was the first one to tell him that.  I think his other friends are too kind. ::)

Week 1 ended in a win for the Chargers, but after watching the game, what are you most concerned about moving forward?

I broke down and got one of these:

because my 3/4 didn't have enough mad max sex appeal and I felt indecently exposed.
For $717, they're not cheap, but hey, if you only have a $200 head, then pay $200 for your helmet. :D
Here's the Aerostich writeup:
Direct from police riot control and pro hockey (pro hockey ?), this helmet’s shield is overlaid with steel bars for protection and intimidation. This riot and correctional institute technology trumps even the fanciest race rep helmet’s decorative paint job. The menacing steel grillwork assures safe passage through the most apocalyptic Mad Max wastelands and impoverished countries...and local urban slums. Flow through vents keep you cool, even when you’re hyperventilating. If you live in a gated luxury community and ride a big adventure bike with a metal guard over the headlight...or if your cage is a Range Rover with ARB nerf bumper overriders, then this is your helmet. Ride through the valley of death, or look ready to. Meets or exceeds all DOT, Snell and Motion Picture Stuntman Association Standards. Size s-xl. Black. Includes walnut.

If you bought that helmet you'd pretty much be required to buy this to match.  I don't know why, it just seems fitting.

I think that helmet would be a good fit for either of these guys.
