The bike is currently in a state of stripped disrepair... I will post more pics soon.

Here is the suzi gs450 tank pre-stripped.  The big brown whale had to go.

So I've done a lot of the fun and easy stuff
-stripping down
-shopping for parts
-mocking up the bike
-drinking beer and fantasizing about summer riding

It is time to start grinding away

pics to follow in a minute (waiting on flickr.......)

couldn't tell you what these came off of... but they were basically free.  Now we must determine how the mounting/linkage should work

Considering a faux tank-stretch (for the battery and lectrics) the lines on this tank are already pretty nice IMHO

the seat cowl was a chrome headlight bucket from a 30s Packard... the bottom was rusted out, and the salvage yard was happy to sell it cheap

I've been thinking about a seat for my spare parts 650... your post there reminds me of that old car/truck graveyard I found last year on a wandering trip....
Got a plan now.

thnx!

Not being of 750 stock can someone tell me the minimum capacity for the oil tank?

Looking good so far.  Can you hook us up with a side shot of the mocked up tank and cowl section?  Would love to see the two working together.
