Topic: Tank stripes and colours

Hi all once more,

I am going to get my bike painted soon and would like to know what's the best way to get the petrol tank stripes right. Are the stripes a real paint job or can i get them in decals or stickers? Mine's been painted over so my stripes have been messed up by someone so i can't really tell what the proper shape is, the line thickness etc.

Will i need to find another tank to copy? Does anyone have good close up pictures?

Also, i haven't decided on the colour yet. Would anyone post some close up paint job pictures. I'd rather copy an original honda colour if any of you guys have some good pictures.

By the way i am talking about a 750 K4 tank.

Isn't it necessary to paint the side of the tank black, then the decals outline the black section? I've stripped the paint off a few 750's and it seems that the black section isn't a decal. Just making sure you knew before doing anything.
