I use btjunkie with Transmission.  They tend to work well, but the music I like is often too obscure to find. :(

fist bump to my Transmission buddy...i thought I was the only one..I use it on my n800 tablet and it works like a charm

As I post this, I have Vuze and pirate bay dot org running in the background. Several files but the overall rate is 600 kbytes down. If want you want is current music, then the newsgroups are perhaps a better choice...no seeding required. For that I use XNEWS.

I'm getting some Primus atm...  :D Usually, if it's a big-name band, I don't feel bad. If they're small or starting out, I buy the album even if I can download it.  The smaller artists need support.

I donno if I'm doing it wrong or what, but I can never find anything through bittorrent anymore (it's like they went legit). I just google the word torrent and whatever I'm after. Usually end up on piratebay.

I usually use isohunt and sometimes thepiratebay. I haven't had a virus since I installed Windows but I do wear protection. ;) Peerguardian 2 combined with Avast! Antivirus is pretty well as good as it gets. You can download a built-in IP blocker for Azureus as well if you want to be extra cautious.

i do movies on bit junkie all the time. never had a virus but have received a letter about copyright infringement from my cable company. it was Pirate Bay that screwed me. i think. i'm not sure how all that tracker stuff works. i steer clear of them and only download movies posted by AXXO. they have the best DL's anyhow. If you don't already use VUSE to download your torrents and VLC to play them.
movies that is

i use peer guardian 2, basically it keeps outside sources from seeing you downloading that kind of material.  http://phoenixlabs.org/pg2/

yeah its like limewire only way better... you first need the program...I like vuze...then you need a website to find your files...i like isohunt.com...go to the website and search for waht you want and download the "torrent" file...once you have that, you open the "torrent" file with your program (ie:vuze)
once you install vuze...it will set itself to automatically open the torrents you download and save you that step...
now that vuze has opened the torrent file, it will begin downloading from multiple peers (much like limewire)

http://www.vuze.com/app
www.isohunt.com

another way to find torrents is to just google your search terms with the word torrent at the end

hope this helps and dosent confuse

Thanks Tex. I think I got it. Of course you never really know if you have it until you try it.
