The hardest part of extending the loom to reach would be getting the right colour coded wires if you were inclined to go that far.
Other than that i can see it being a relatively easy cut and shut job

I did a full mock up before i stripped it all down for painting, so the wirings already done.I simply cut all wires and extended them ,soldering each joint and i went to the hassle of using the right coloured wires for each one.Them i wrapped them in black electrical tape like the factory does, you wouldnt even know its been extended.

Some more photos, assembly is going a bit slower than i would have liked.But the Allballs bearing took awhile to arrive and are still waiting on parts to arrive from around the world.

It has the stock rims on at the moment just so i can move the old girl around a bit easier, cant wait to get the alloy rims back from the wheel builder.

G'Day Wayne, that looks great mate, well done! I had a look at the 550 bottom end to see how you'd go taking the starter motor off without stripping the engine, and sorry mate, but I don't like your chances.........  ;) ;D

Build is coming along slowly, with only the seat to made and the alloy mudcatcher rims to be laced up. Thought i would put some pictures up of the progress

Aughhh that exhaust system is whats called ,homemade .Knocked it up myself ,fair bit of mucking around bending shaping but worth it in the end.

Well i seem to be getting a collection up, i was going with a set of Akront rims that i have but there smooth shoulders.Now i have also got my hands on a set of Mudcatcher alloy rims that i am awaiting delievery on, so these's will go on as soon as they arrive.

Completly forgot to weld on a mounting plate on for the oil cooler, before i had the frame powder coated. So knocked up these mounts that clamp to the frame, perfect soulution for anybody who doesnt want to weld on anything to there frame.

Just have to wait now for some braided line and fittings.

I have finally finished the seat, The Ally Akront mudcatcher rims should be back this week from the wheel builders. ??? ??? ::)
And hopefully should have the alloy tank finished this week and on the bike.( a word of warning, if your thinking about building your own alloy tank take my advise and just go out and buy one ;D.But its nearly finished, the amount of man hours is incredible and i can see now why there so dear to buy)

Then its of to to the dyno, and start enjoying the bike ;D

   Hey you never said where the oil cooler came from.  Details?  And one detail I noticed about your seat - the lock mechanism isn't as out-of-sight-out-of-mind as I'd prefer, but then again you're probably not leaving it in the Wal-Mart parking lot.  Do they even have those down under?
   Great looking build so far, can't wait to see the wheels on there. Plus one on the pipes.  Maybe you can rustle up a Termigionni sticker to slap on there.  Wouldn't look out of place in my mind.

Here is the mock up cardboard tank, and the start of the alloy work.The tanks nearly fininshed now and will post up some more photos soon of the different stages
