Which bike?  Which year?  Where did you get the part number you ordered?
Can I have a motorcycle when I get old enough?
If you take care of it.
What do you have to do?
Lot’s of things. You’ve been watching me.
Will you show me all of them?
Sure.
Is it hard?
Not if you have the right attitudes. It’s having the right attitudes that’s hard.

'fraid I don't know the 750 internals that well.  I'm sure someone will come along and can answer your question spot on.

Yeah mate, don't panic, the longer cam chain tensioner was just an evoluntionary improvement made by Honda, either one will work in your bike. Cheers, Terry. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Terry has it right. The lower end was shortened at the K5 model, probably to save money on Honda's part. Although it shortens the guided travel on the way down to the crank, it doesn't appear to bother the engine much. If anything, it should reduce a tiny bit of friction on the cam chain by removing about 1" of guide length.

Think of it as adding .01 HP back to the engine.   ;)
