750 K1 swingarm question
« on: February 09, 2009, 08:06:38 PM »
I've got my swingarm apart in preparation to replace the bushing (which so far I haven't been able to remove) but I've tried pumping grease through the bolt and can't get grease to flow through either fitting, no wonder the collar and bushings are screwed up.

Anyway my question is do these grease fittings screw or press in? I'd like to remove them and try to clean the passageway to where the grease exits. TIA

They are push-in. We used to remove them, and drill & tap for normal zirks.. you may want to keep the original, and do this to a second shaft.. might have one around , I couls sell or tap and sell.

Good idea but I don't have a spare, I'd be more than happy to get one from you if you have one, especially if you would be willing to tap it.

Thanks Old Timer. I just noticed my post didn't come thru complete, duh.
I could always get one off eBay and have it tapped down here. Thanks for your offer, it's appreciated.
