I need a chrome cam cover and when I called they just said they did not have any more.

Send it to Brown's Plating in Paducah, KY. They do it the right way. Their website is advertising 3-5 days turnaround time. I had mine done there in '77 and it still looks great. Some of the other guys are hooking up as we speak to send a load in.
As of today 3/13/2012 my original owner 75 CB750F has made it through 3 wives, er EX-wives. Free at last.  ;-)

Thats funny all of the original chrome on my bike was done at Browns and it is all still good after 30years, but my cam cover is cracked and I have to get a new one soon. DO you have to send Browns a polished piece?

I'll butt in here, as I am dealing with Brown's http://www.brownsplating.com/chrome_direct.php right now, boxing up some things. No to your question. Send them your tired, your poor, your huddled masses, etc. They clean, strip, buff and 7 layer plate.  Their price catalog is here http://www.brownsplating.com/admin/2008_retail_catalog.pdf  For CB750 Catalog page 14, PDF page 19 shows the cam cover price at $190.

Thanks, do you have any idea about the cost of valve adjuster plugs, I can't find that in the catalog?

Me neither. I see on the 500/550 page that valve cover caps are $19. That's my best guess.
