Found These Photo's
« on: February 02, 2009, 06:07:02 AM »
Found a load of old photo's and thought some of you might be interested in these.

Taken in the spring of 1984 they show my 1980 650 just after my mate binned it.

The fairing is by Stuart Industries. It worked very well. Keeping all the wind away and only letting the heaviest of rain through.

Going for a thrash to the pub my mate and I swapped bikes. He was a lot smaller and lighter than me so when we got to the ton he got a tank slapper. My mate got it slowed down to 60 when it spat him off. (Very spectacular)
The older I get the faster I used to be!!!!

Is that fairing handlebar mounted, or is there a hidden mount around the steering neck?

I can see you like to be prepared, but... riding with that coffin behind you. Isn't that exaggerating?  ;D

My dad always rode with a box like the one in the top pic.
Commuting first, aesthetics last lol.
But he rode.
