After seeing this in another thread, would it be feasible to coat rusted rear-shock springs with this??!?!

esp since it's flexible

I've used it in our shop to protect a few things. The product tends to fade after a few months (we used blue)

it certainly would be cool to dip the tips of your levers to color match the bike, I'll bet we could find a few other items to coat too.  Probably no UV resistance though as it's commonly used for hand tool grips and such.  Maybe an email will yield some info as to UV resistance and outdoor, or rust covering applications?
If you give 'em a shout, please post back their response.  Thanks!

I used it to cover levers in clear, than the ends in black to replicate the original appearance. No problems with fade or color change after 4 yrs., but I have to say I rarely let it sit in direct sunlight except during stops on the road. The rest of the time it is in the garage or shaded, so not the best test of UV protection.

Just a recommendation if you do, for the clear, thin it slightly and dip the lever in slowly and withdraw it slowly to avoid bubbles. You will need several coats.
