I'm not sure how many degrees advance the stock spring loaded advance plate gives my CB750.  Doesn't really look like much.  My question is, would there be an increase in power anywhere in the powerband on a Cb750 if the mechancial advance plate was modified to give more advance then what it does from the factory?

Modified, sure- stock, I don't think so.
Unless you are using something other than 87 octane in your 750.

this forum moves too fast! a couple hours go by and there are 25 threads  in frint of this one!
well my engine is far from stock, and i use 93 oct.  anyone else have an opinion or idea about making the timing advance further than stock?

There's some thoughts by Hondaman in the FAQ section where he talks about modifying the 750's advancer.
