How do you find an old article on your bike??
« on: February 04, 2009, 12:09:12 PM »
Hey Everyone,
Would anybody know how to research and find an old article say for a 1969 CL90 for example?? I've done a bunch of searches and came up
pretty much dry? don't know if it's my search engine or what?
Thanks for ANY Help

If you are looking for 'free' stuff it might be a challenge. I look in eBay for old magazines that have road tests, or you could try:

Can't speak for a CL90, but I've had good success finding info and articles for  a '68 CB/CL175.

I usually get old magazines for results when I'm searching for parts on ebay. Some of the prices are a little dumb but it at least lets you know what issues covered your bike.

Type "CL90" into eBay and see what comes up. Most people selling magazines list the contents so a search that includes "Title and Description" gives more hits.

You could ask www.themagazineman.co.uk - he won't search for you but does have an alphabetic features list.

Thanks Steve
will do
i've done the ebay thing and found there are PLENTY of available parts for it! Yesterday the parts guy at Honda and me argued over the "Battery" that the computer said was a "direct replacement" and it was 1/4" too wide..so he said he's going to check his stock for one with the dimensions i made out of a 1:1 scale template..aside from trucking the bike to the next town over to prove my point! why guys "rely" on what a computer says is gospel defies me?!?!
Thanks again

Pretty sure it was an old cycle world from 69. I thought I at least added it to my favorites so I could post a link, but no dice. I'm surprised that mc reports doesn't have anything.
