NEWBIE FROM UP NORTH
« on: February 04, 2009, 09:17:54 AM »
JUST SAYING HI,
Bought a 75 cb550f and 74 cb550k both in great condition and running from a neighbour. Both have 10 years in the barn. They are both in the basement and the 550f is down to the frame. Will be sandblasted as soon as I get a couple more bucks. I,m too old to ride a cafe, so i am doing her up stock. Has 17000 on the odometer. i have been surfing your forums for a year before i bought the bikes, plan to do all the right things. Bought a new mac 4 into 1 from a kid in town here,$100 with the muffler, good score.
Have 40 hrs. into cleaning and polishing, parts are sorted between polish, paint, repair and replace. This is my first bike build, however I am a tech guy for a living and am feeling comfortable with my understanding.
looking foreward to twisting the wrist
Great forum.
