Dunno what a good BIN price would be because I haven't been in the market for this bike to see what they are going for.  Kind of curious why they won't let you list a 24 hour auction.  Odd.

I've heard it said before that the market for these bikes is not that well knownl enough to speculate on price, but here is really what I am asking.

What would be a realistic price somone is willing to spend for a bike if this size and vintage (whether it be Honda, Kawi, Suzuki or Yamaha) that is ready to ride.  I think some factors like many of the new items and maintenance this bike has had, the fact that it is sound, runs very reliably and does not leak gas etc all are value adders.  Since bikes which are reasonably complete, but require this usual maintenance sell for $5-800 on ebay I'll begin to do some math.  Tires mountd and such + $200.  Chain and sprockets + $100, Recover seat +$100, neack bearings +$50, battery +$50, exhaust +$200.  So I think any bike with these items recently done should be worth $12-$1500.  Labor is subjective, be we really did go above and beyond to make sure the bike is right, with every nut and bolt taken down, frame painted etc.  I would say that is easily a variable of an additional $3-500.  So anywhere form $15-$2000 is my take regardless of specific make or modlel.

That's pretty much the purpose of the BIN, to ask what you would really like to get for the item.  That fool that started his at 1999.99 doesn't have 1 bid.

Good news!  The benefit went very well last night.  Although Gary was unable to be there due to his ever changing health, but we did have him there via a web cam.

The KZ400 was sold.  One of Gary's brother-in-laws was following the bike story and how the listing got pulled form ebay.  He said he would like to own the bike.  Gary has a big family and we thought it would be neat for the bike to stay in the Seeburger family.  The bike was sold right within the range I posted and stays in the Seeburger family!  I don't think I could have writtern a happier ending.  Thanks for all of the encouragment.

Thanks for the update.  Glad to hear that the bike story has a happy ending.
