New here in MI
« on: February 06, 2009, 07:57:24 AM »
Hi all, I'm new on this site but not new to bikes.
Presently I have a vintage Finch built '72 CB750 (836) that's my daily driver, and an '81 CB650 on the fixture table.
The 650 uses the stock lower frame and mounts, the top half has been completely rebuilt with a gooseneck single top tube steup. I have a twisted springer for it. I'm presently debating either a monoshock swinger or just hardtail it just to get it done and move on to the next project.

I've been in metal fabrication for the past 20 years, MIG, TIG, machining, drag racing...
I run a small motorsports fabrication business focusing on drag racing and custom motorcycles.
Also I'm very interested in EFI and am currently working up a package for Yammy XS650 for a customer and am thinking seriously about doing the same for my CB650.

I'm obviously not a purist, but love clean restos just as much as choppers, it's all about the mechanicals to me and the detail to make any bike stand out.

Welcome. Post pics when you can. Where in MI are you? The frigid north, or the warm, sunny southern region?  ;)
We'll all be someone else's PO some day.
