Hi from Duluth, MN
« on: February 14, 2009, 09:36:31 AM »
Well been a member since July so I better do this intro, better late than never. I've had a Honda since I was 13 and now I'm 53 and my stable has grown over the years. I have about a 12 750's ranging from 71 to 78 some are daily drivers and some are rolling chassis's. I picked up a nice 73 350 four last summer just like the first new bike I ever owned when I was 17. My 17 year old son picked up a 78 550k last summer for a $100 that we got running and he's been riding the crap out of it, God I love these old Honda's! I restored a Smith Brothers and Fetrow 750 Honda chop a couple of years ago thats where my handle came from. My wife rides too and currently she's riding an 03 Wing that I pretend is mine when she's not around. When she's around I have to ride my 90 Wing. She told me no more buying bikes ;) But its so hard to pass up a good deal. Anyway I've got enough projects to last me well into retirement! This is a great site for info and advice, hopefully I'll be able to help along the way. Take care and ride safe.

Welcome Superior, I too am from Duluth (a graduate of Denfeld HS), but left the mosquitoes and nine months of winter behind to live in Montana.  I will be riding the K5 I am restoring now through Duluth this summer.

Thanks Montana, I understand what your saying about the weather here. Been through Montana a few times in the past always thought it would be a nice place to retire to. Got a picture of my 2 boys when they were 10 and 13 and myself by the same sign when I had my sidecar on my 90 Wing back 2002. I'd like to do the Beartooth pass again but without the hack this time. When you get to Duluth we could meet up at Sir Benedicts on Tuesday night when all the vintage bikes get together every other week.
