Russell Speed Bleeders on 750 fitting problems
« on: February 04, 2009, 09:28:39 PM »
I just picked up some Russell Speed Bleeders 8MM x 1.25 for my 78 CB750K and it does fit. Russells are bigger that the stock, has anyone else had this problem?

You say it does fit?? I don't understand. What problem would this be then? I'm curious, did you search and use our chart?

I think he missed the 'nt' as in did'nt fit.
the bleeder should be 7x1.00mm, the hex is 8mm

I took it back to Flanders and also brought over my stock bleeder and found that i should've bought the 7mm x 1.0. Problem solved now on to the next one

I think someone needs to update this list regarding the CB450 K3 to K7. It shows them listed as using 2 different bleeders:  http://forums.sohc4.net/index.php?topic=259.msg141183#msg141183

Pleased to - but I don't write them, I just collect and publish them!

Research/write it up and I'll add it to the FAQs.

Steve,

Considering the CB450 is not "us", why not just remove those entries?! I do not have correct info for that model. The good folks at Speed Bleeder are not that accurate sometimes either. I had to return my rear bleeder before determining the right size myself. One of the reasons for the list.

Good catch on our compilation error Bird

It would probably be better to just have part numbers for 6, 7 and 8mm bleeders.
If your not smart enough to measure a thread you probably shouldn't be playing with your brakes
