new chain and sprocket

bought new chain and sprocket for the 72 750.o ring chain and the salesman sold me 17-48 sprocket set should i shoot him or let it ride.dont seem to notice much difference cant remember what the rpm use to be.they are about 5k at 70 now seems like it winds up a little quicker.lugging along in low gear seems to be a little easier.does anyone have any idea what this will do for fuel economy, worse i am sure.just wondering is it worth the trouble to change drive sprockets or not?was a tight fit would most likely have to change the chain to get the larger sprocket on or maybe let it stretch a little.

It will pull you fuel down a little but it will get of the mark quicker.
If you did'nt have an O ring chain before you may notice a bigger drop in fuel consumption as the O rings can drag the power down because of the friction the O rings create.
