I must have one somewhere but can't locate. Need it to remove my fork lock. I have others with keys.

I just looked at my key collection - no luck.  I did get a key from that guy on ebay.  I think it was hondakeys.com.  He set me up with one that I needed and couldn't help on another.

Some of my keys are not numbered (copies).  Does anyone know how to translate a number into "how it's cut" or, more importantly, vice versa?

I do, however, have a Dewalt key with 3/8th in bit.   :-\

Thanks, didn't know about eBay. I'll try it.

I've been wondering about that.  So having the key is the only way to remove the fork lock?  I have a sand cast T-6768 and Honda Keys does not have it and the original is long gone.

Right. Take the cover off with the little Phillips head screw, insert the key, turn and rather than push up to lock, pull down and it comes out.

You could get it out without the key, but something will have to be destroyed.   :D

If you could get it to a locksmith, he could probably pick it.

I'll take a look in my vast collection of keys in the morning.... ;)

The fork lock on my K3 (the type that pushes up from under the lower triple tree) has two Phillips head screws holding the cover on the lock cylinder, maybe you could remove these screws and remove the lock cylinder???

I got my keys for my 750K3 from a local locksmith, maybe he's got your key blank in stock too?  Give them a call, D&D Lock and Hardware Wilmington, MA 978-658-2597  they can cut keys by code and I suppose they can ship overnight too. (can't everyone?)

Thanks everyone. Hondakeys.com put me together. Once I get the odd forklock out, I have a matched set of ignition and forklock to use on my project.

I swear I had the key to that lock sometime, somewhere. (Though I haven't seen it in 12+ years). It'll show up about the time the one from Hondakeys.com does.   ;D
