Final piece of the jigsaw
« on: February 11, 2009, 04:27:34 PM »
As you will be aware if you have looked in my signature, I have a couple of very early (1958) Honda twins.

The CB95 was a 154cc sports bike, of which only 349 were made.

People don't even bother to look for these bikes as they are a million times harder to find than a mint never used sandcast CB750.

Quite a few other models share parts with the CB95 and over the years I have been putting together a collection of these parts.
The only part I was short of to complete the motor was the crankcases. The CB95 shared it's crankcase mold with the CB92, a 125 version that came on the scene a year later in 1959. Unlike all the other parts, the crankcase has just one difference that identifies the two models and that is the engine number.
Expensive at $700......guess what I've found ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
Now for the rest of the bike ::) ::) ::) ::) ::)

During the week we don't get to see one another, he's at school during the day and I'm at home fast asleep being a night worker.
I only get to chat with him in the evening when he's home and I'm back in work.
We will have some pics of some of the parts that are going into the 2 bikes at the weekend.
He dosn't know I have the crankcases as I scored them after he went off line.
I bought a new blast cabinet last Sunday to get all the parts clean that have been festering for the last 10 years at the back of the workshop. His dad was going to have a go with it last night but I won't know how the parts turned out untill tonight.

Well done Sam, I hadn't realised there was such a thing as a CB95, just assumed with you using the hybrid tag it was something you had created by merging the C95 with a CB92.
