Need a 76 or earlier CB 750 measurement.

Need a Measurement  76 or earlier, on a bike with carbs on it & tank off.

I need to know how much higher than the 1 inch frame tube, the carb linkage rises at full open throttle.

If you take a piece odfstiff paper, notch for the backbone, you can set this on top of the 2,  1 inch braces and make a mark to indicate how high the linkage rises.

Anyone that can measure this, it would be much appreciated, I would have to put on different carbs to measure it myself.

Ok Frank,

I placed a 12" rigid scale across the top of the frame members and was able to tuck it under the arched frame member in the center that is directly behind the throttle linkage.

I measured from the bottom surface of the scale, which would relate to the top of the outside tubes.  With the throttle full open, I read .300"  ..................... for all practical purposes you could say it was .312" ............. which is 5/16 of an inch.

I sure hope this helps you out and gives you what you need.  :)
