Western Canada - 1973 CB750
« on: February 18, 2009, 06:31:21 PM »
Greetings from the west coast.

Just picked up a non-running '73 CB750 for $150 from a very nice fellow.  Hasn't been run since 1987.  Not really sure what I've gotten myself into but still excited.  It took two of us to push the big bike with a flat back tire, damn it's heavy.  Hoping to find an engine builder in the Vancouver area.  Don't have space to rebuild it.  Looking forward to looking through the site.

If you take in the Tsawwassen swap meet on April 19'th you'll have at least a few single cammers to talk. There's usually a bunch in the parking lot. Here's the info http://www.classicbikeswapmeet.com/home.html
See you there. Welcome home.
Is the motor siezed? If not if may just require some carb cleaning, plugs, fresh oil and coaxing to run. These are tough engines!

Thanks Cliff.  The show looks good, I've got it penciled in on my calendar.  I'm going to try a few things before going for the rebuild.  Just poking around to see if there is back up for me if it all goes pear shaped.  Any local parts suppliers or mostly mail order?
