i will change the oil now that you mention it thanks. As for the seat i built a whole new seat pan from 18 gauge sheet metal i had and covered it with high density foam and then a layer of memory foam.I wanted a single seat but then thought about it and realized i wouldn't be able to take my son or daughter for rides so i added the back section to it again. With the paint i stripped the tank to bare metal filled in the 2 small dents with fiberglass bondo and sanded then over top again with filler to cover the air pockets that fiberglass left sprayed everything with etch primer checked for imperfections again primer again let dry spayed with black base and 4 coats of clear.i originally wanted to powdercoat everything but was told could not do it with filler so i just had my fenders and engine covers done instead.
Good on the oil change.
I've learned a lot about powdercoating, still haven't done it yet. One was as you say. Bondo, jbweld, even brazing, the powdercoaters won't guarantee that such work will remain intact. This is because of different expansion rates in the ovens. Fillers will pop out.
I'm doing a lot to my frame, keep thinking of new things. All things must be done before the PC, as once its done, its done. Now I'm struggling with rear turn signal mounts. They must be setback to clear my occasional use of saddlebags.
Waiting for pics of your paint.
