1979 DOHC CB750F, just cleaned the carbs and was wrapping the throttle at low speed, in a parking lot, to feel the power. The bars slipped out of my hand and the throttle stuck. I went off the bike to the left, felt like I had fallen out of an airplane. The bike continued another 400 feet and fell over. $17000 dollars later and months of PT, I have a functional left wrist again. I also know that a radius ulna (sp?) fracture is when the round part of your arm bone breaks off and is shoved over an inch up onto the straight part. In surgery they made an 8 inch incission and lined everything back up, pulled the fragments out of the muscle, and attached a plate with nails they had drilled pilot holes into my bone for. I have pictures but will spare you. I pray I never dump a bike at any kind of speed.
Oh, I almost forgot ( this is a bike forum
) The bike got bent up and scraped some including the requirement for a new stator and housing, handlebars, mirror, and foot pegs. I repaired it all with one hand during my recovery and surgery time.
