reinstalling cam, timing question
« on: February 16, 2009, 04:55:34 PM »
SO im buttoning her back up and had a question about the cam. When I reinstall it what do I need to look out for? As long as I line it up can i do all my timing later with the motor installed in the bike, or is this the time to get things right?

It needs to be set properly when installed.  The manual will walk you through the procedure to get it set right.

Are you using a slotted sprocket? All cam timing needs to be done prior to installation UNLESS you have Gordon's frame kit (or a bogus, POS, early facsimile). ;) ;D

For those who don't already know, that's the other Gordon, not me.

I get the occasional PM asking about "my 750 frame kits", which I politely direct towards Ilbikes. ;D
