We have a stand in our mall here that sells drinks like that. I have had the nehi and it was pretty good.

I remember the NEHI in steel cans when I was a kid.  Had to use a can opener, something that probably 1/3 of this forums members have never seen.
NEHI Grape was my fav. (WAS) can't stand the smell of the stuff now.  :P

I found it!!!  At least I hope so.   I have been looking for "Apple Beer" for years.  The label is different, but it says it's been around since 1964.

I noticed they didn't have Dr. Pepper made from pure cane sugar. Jones Soda makes a good cola from pure cane- I think all their sodas are made with it. Pretty tasty, a lot smoother taste than corn syrup.

I doubt that you'll find other versions of name brand sodas.  High fructose corn syrup is in most big name sodas.  That whole Old Coke/New Coke thing in the mid 80s was to hide the conversion over from cane sugar to fructose.  They thought we wouldn't notice the difference.  The soda that I found there has the fructose crap, so even if it is the same soda, it will taste different.  But I will try it anyway.

Depending on who made the Dr Pepper it still does have the real sugar, only one of the plants in Texas makes it that way still. I am a Dr Pepper fiend.
I laugh at the corn syrup commercials and how they say its safe in moderation....
I remember being like 6 or 7 and getting pure sugar canes to snack on when we went to compton ridge in south Missouri to ride dirt bikes

Yeah Goon, the only plant I know of that makes pure cane Dr. Pepper is the Dublin, Texas plant near Waco. Yummy stuff but not cheap to ship.
