My 70 750 Cafe build....
« on: February 18, 2009, 08:38:32 am »

So I livearound 50 miles north of L.A. so why not build a reliable BIG cafe to blaze doen the PCH on!!! I just sold my 53 Triumph to a Museum in ORE. 550's are great but I'd like a lil more power. I picked up "Grape Ape" about a year ago from my old boss who has owned it since the 80's.... it was kind of a mess....

 From this..

I stripped off most of the stuff I could... threw on some clubmans...h4 headlight..pods bigger jets..bobbed the rear fender(till I can find a cafe seat that I like) I put progressive springs in the front forks and Koni's in the rear.. And drilled speed holes in a bunch of stuff cuz I was bored!!! LOTS more to come such asRear sets for sure.. inverted forks, maybe a diffrent swingarm....

And where Im at the moment..

Lots of work to go for my Beater!!

Hey there Rich,

That's a real diamond in the rough.

I suppose you've checked out the "usual suspects" for ideas.

Benjie (http://www.benjiescaferacer.com) and Carpy (http://www.cb750cafe.com) to name a couple.

Looking forward to more progress and pics.

Cheers
Seriously, insincerious......
