Wider low profile pull back handlebars
« on: February 19, 2009, 07:36:33 AM »
Specific I know but I am looking for the older style wider handlebar (7/8) like the one in the photo below. Looking for that Indian style or pre-WWII bar...lower profile, pull back...has anyone seen these? They are not the M bar (Triumph)....

thanks for any help
cheers
Andy

The 81 GL500 7/8" x 29"wide  bars look similar to those but the grip section points back a bit more than what you are looking for.

Andy,

Try contacting Flanders: http://www.flandersco.com/  they have been in business for quite a while and who knows what they may have around the shop.

This is the Flanders current offering of 7/8" bars: http://www.sideroadcycles.com/ImportedMotorcycles/ImportHandlebars/ImportHandlebars78.html

(The bars on the pic of the Sportster you posted are a two-piece design, 1" in diameter and uses a non-returning internal throttle control - which is stock Sportster up to 1973)
