yes.   ;D

anyway... i have two 1098Es... if, on other loans, i payed less than the 600 in interest required to receive a 1098E is that interest paid still eligible?

if the 1099 is non-employee compensation, it goes on scedule c. with the 1098e's that just goes on a 8917 . tuition credits you need form 8917, and yed you DO have to file in new mexico as well. the wife does taxes, has for 30 years or so now. any other questions i'm going to PM you my telephone # and she'll be glad to help.

basically... what i want to know is if i should hunt down a 1098E that may or may not exist (i didn't receive one from 2 other lenders) due to not meeting the 600 dollar minimum of interest paid.

make sense?

thank your guru wife for me.   ;)

thats the loan interest you've paid, if you know how much youve paid then no, you dont need the form, but knowing that amount could really help you she says.  youre welcome by the way lol
