Steve Snoen, Surrey. 1956 BSA C12 250

Winner 2008:
Bill English, Kamloops. 1951 BSA C11 250

Village Green Hotel and Casino, 4801-27th Street, Vernon, BC, Canada

Motogiro BC will provide an opportunity for riders of older and smaller capacity motorcycles to show off their machines and meet with like minded individuals and old friends, whilst enjoying rides on interesting local roads. Riders will travel to locations in and around the Vernon area.

Skill testing slow speed exercises during the Saturday ride will give an added challenge. Riders will meet for dinner at the host hotel on the Saturday night. After dinner there will be a show of the motorcycles. Points will be awarded throughout the event, as noted below.

There will be space for 50 motorcycles.

Eligible Motorcycles:

Any motorcycle of up to 350cc engine size, built before 1989. Machines built after 1990 will be accepted depending on space.

Motorcycles 351cc and larger, built in 1979 or before.

Motorcycles entered in Motogiro BC  must be:

·   Street legal, with appropriate street accessories and tyres. Turn signals, if fitted, must be operational.
·   Capable of passing a pre-event inspection.
·   Insured and appropriately plated.
·   Mechanically capable of covering a ride distance of several hundred kilometres.

Riders must be licenced to operate the motorcycle, and physically capable of riding for several hours at a time. Extra points will be awarded to individuals wearing appropriate motorcycle-specific riding gear.

Note: Approved motorcycle safety helmets are mandatory in BC.

Weather:    Variable in May. Could be hot, warm, wet or dry. Assume it will be changeable, with a chance of rain.
