The biggest difference
« on: February 21, 2009, 12:23:39 PM »
Since I did a ground up tune up on the CB 750 I got. It ran on 3 cylinders..smoked...carbs clogged...coils bad...etc

The biggest difference came from setting the valves...after I set the valves the engine instantly became smoother...and easier to rev. It does jump on idle like it used and its dead on...however, if I wouldn't have done everything in between..i bet she wouldnt run as good.

So for an FYI, before doing anything, double check your timing chain tension and valve clearance...and then worry about synching carbs and such.

Thanks for everyone that has helped me with my bike. She is running smooth and starts everytime now. She doesnt smoke anymore and its a helluva smooth, fun ride :)
