Brake Caliper Interchangeability
« on: February 21, 2009, 05:01:14 AM »
Is there any options regarding the replacement of a 750 k3 Caliper with other years of caliper?
I heard somewhere that the left side of a dual setup will work. Are there any F model swaps?

I'm stuck with a bad caliper now and need to get this going with out all those "Sandcast" parts on E-bay.

I have a 75 f caliper bolted to a k3. You have to use the mounting bracket too.  I think many will interchange but you have to be careful about the thick and thin brackets, some years brackets are different but many calipers are the same.
No matter how many times you paint over a shadow, it's still there.

+1 on the thick vs. thin I have a dual disc thread that is on hold because I have a 76k and earlier thinner bracket type with finned caliper and the side I got for the right side came off of a 77k (left side originally) and its the thick type bracket with smooth type caliper.
