Greetings from Leavenworth, KS

Howdy.  I purchased a 1971 Honda CB500 last summer and have finally gotten around to tearing it down.  Which has been a lot of fun since I am a lousy wrench!  I'm a basic all-around motorhead and love cars and modern sportbikes as well.  I currently own a 1989 Ford Mustang, a Pontiac GTO 2006, a Hayabusa and my V-strom. 

Currently the bike is being torn down and should be getting it's makeover within the next couple of months.

Some of the toys are being sold off as I will be stationed in Germany this summer.  Looking forward to learning all about this great little bike I have. 

Here's a shot of the bike (I'm not a big fan of the checkerboard stickers and have some new paint in mind):

This is the place for info on these fine machines, looks like a nice bike you have there.
What's the bike that is next to it in the picture?

Thanks for the welcome.  The bike next to it is my parts bike.  A pretty much complete 74 Honda 550.

    Welcome from SC. Do you know the corrections officers locally? If you have a line on a pallet  of 750's  in a wharehouse somewhere  let us know? If theres more than that! Not a problem. ;D

Nah, don't know the local co's.  I'm here for the military school.  Wish I knew where there were some 750's.  My 550 is actually up for sale; cheap!
