How to power starting motor on pulled out engine?
« on: February 22, 2009, 09:24:23 AM »
I'm currently restorating my CB500. While my engine is out of the frame I would like to get some power to the starting motor in order to turn the engine round a bit. Does anyone know where I should connect the power to? My thought was to connect the battery directly to the starting motor, but I don't know which wires that go directly to the starting motor!

Well the motor is grounded through the block if I remember correctly. So all you need to do is ground the block and hit the 12+ stud on the starter with the battery/high amp charger.
