Want to be sure !!!
« on: February 22, 2009, 02:18:17 PM »
Was just about to cut my new oil lines and run them to my new tank but wanted to be 100% positive I have them correct.  I removed my old dented tank a few months ago and through it out now I cannot remember where they go.  If remember correctly the front is the gravity feed from the tank, and the rear line from the engine pumps the oil to the tank. please help before I cut.

On a 1972 CB750 the front oil line on the engine is the front (closest to oil drain bolt) on the tank.

Found this diagram for the 750, and it shows the line TO the tank is the forward-most port on the engine.

I don't see a down fall running to the bottom of the tank but I bought a round tank and wanted it to come in the top so that i can see if the oil pump is working that way i will see it comming out the top.  I did hook it up and I probley didn't need to run it in the top.
