Best to separate carbs from one another and disassemble/reassemble one at a time. Soak or spray them clean while completely dissembled. Use small tools, hammer and a small finish nail and light force to remove float pins, after soaking the pins with a good penatrating oil. Use caution and take your time. Take EXTRA care not to damage the float and it's associated parts, or do anything that would affect it's adjustment. Maybe someone can suggest something other than penatrating oil, as it may soften or distort gaskets if you're re using them. Sometimes carb cleaner will work to "un-varnish" the pins. Just don't use more force than necessary while tapping on them or the posts that the pins pass thru will break. Speaking from personal experience, jmtcw.
