First, try to obtain a wiring diagram for your bike to verify everything is as it should be interms of electrical layout. There are many posted online.

Take apart every wire connection, one at a time, clean them and reassemble with a small dab of dielectric grease. You'd be amazed at how much of the electrics can be woken up this way! Takes a few hours to do, but well worth it. Also install new fuses. I've seen ones that look OK, but didn't make continuity.

Good luck and let us know what you find.

I agree with Dan. Mine sat for 22 years, same story. I cleaned and greased each an every connection and all electrics now work fine. Don't forget the rats nest in the headlight shell.

I would start looking at the fuse. Your K1 should have but one Main fuse. Also check that the key switch is attached and correctly wired. Alot of people have moved the key switch from under the tank to the handlebars, and messed up the wiring.
With the battery installed and charged up, (you did charge the new battery, right?) you should be able to place something like a long screwdriver across the big terminal screws on the starter solenoid and get the starter to spin.

Make sure you check 'ground' points/connections also, not just the bullet connectors. Good luck, let us know how it goes.
