Oi squirting past the valve? There shouldn't be any oil up in the combustion chamber unless there's a hole in the piston!
Or am I mis-understanding your statement.? ???

Second point,. If the valve's not sealing all around, stem could be bent. Any chance that cam chain problems led to contact between valve and piston? (Hole in Piston?)

Are you sure it's coming from inside the engine?  I've got what looks like oil coming out around the exhaust, but I'm pretty damn sure it's part of the gunk coming out of my leaky tach seal & valve cover.  I would check out any external leaks first before thinking about pulling the engine.

I don't know what your working on but...
yes, oil can get by(or down) your valve stem
on my 750 head(sorry I don't know what year the head is) I only have stem seal on the intake side.
so... when my bike sits a week or so on the side stand, I get a light oil smoke on start up on the left side...is your leak on the left?
personally, I don't worry about mine becauce I just rebuilt the head(it's not hurting nothing)
back to yours...how many miles or time is on your head?
to replace seals, ya gotta remove the head
