Gas tank Emblems
« on: February 24, 2009, 04:45:12 AM »
Anyone know what bikes/years SS gas tanks came with an emblem that said Honda and Super Sport as opposed to saying only Honda and having a Super Sport sticker? I'm trying to find one, but ebay............grrrrrrrrrr. Gougearama.

I think 77 & 78 were the ones with supersport on the emblem.  You can get repros from old bike barn, but be prepared to wait, they get them made as they're ordered.

Is that 77/78 in all engine sizes? If so it will help track them down.
I have heard negative things about doing business with Old Bike Barn here. I haven't done bus. with them because of the warnings

I ordered side cover badges from them.  It took about 30 days, and it was hard to get an answer from them, but I did get an answer and then the badges.  I don't know if the tank badges are specific for engine sizes, but I would think they would be model specific.  Mine is a 77 CB750F.
