I have a bike that runs but has no title. I'm looking at getting a new frame if it's cheaper than ITS. I found a guy (or rather many guys) with different model year frames though I haven't yet found a 1977 cb550k frame. I think I've run into 1975 1976 and 1978. Will those work? If not, could I get the VIN placard and just put it onto a different year and register that? The legality on that might be a bit sketchy, but it's not like I'm picking up hot merch, I just don't want to move an entire bike onto a new frame if it's avoidable.
