Tamburini retires.....nope!
« on: February 26, 2009, 02:44:49 PM »
Small article in Cycle World. Seems Tamburini and MV (HD) couldn't come to
a contract agreement. It wasn't about the money evidently.
Tamburini was responsible for the iconic 916 Ducati and the MV Agusta F4.

Got to love Tamburini's response to the Press release from MV Agusta that he
was "retiring from his position as design chief."

"Only the Lord God Almighty will determine the date of my retirement," said Tamburini. "I will not retire. I will start my own business all over again. I did it before and I can do it again, even alone. My passionate love for motorcycles and motorcycling will never retire."

Bummer I was hoping this guy would help Erik Buell clean up the nasty look of the current 1125.. Im extremely devoted to my buell but I would not buy the new 1125 for anything. Hopefully they dont stop selling the lightning.

From what I read, the break was unexpected, although Tamburini just turned 65.
