cb750 K5 - Gauges
« on: March 15, 2009, 10:06:51 AM »
Can anyone tell me what the original guage faces  for the 1975 CB750 looked like? WHat were the red lines marks on the Tach? Seems like these parts are so interchangebale I don;t think most people selling these things one ebay know exactly what year guages they're selling....

You are right. Some people don't realize that they are different through the years.I'm glad you brought this up.I have a stock K5 and I'm runnin' a tach that I bought off of ebay a few years back. I will have to go out and look at the bike and then dig through a box to tell you the difference. I will get back to you. The reason I changed it was because the needle was hopping around(needs to be rebuilt). I think there is section in the FAQ's that shows the different clocks through the years.

Thanks for the info mrbreeze....I looked on the SOHC forum site under the restoration link and they actually shoow the many different faces of the gaues for various years of the 750...oddly enought though they skip the year 1975, goes from '72  then the next pictures is for a'76 face, so I wonder if the gaues for the '72 - '75 K models were all the same???
