i learned today the difference between cognac and brandy. all cognac is brandy but not all brandy is cognac. it can only be called cognac when it is distilled in the cognac region of france.

Bourbon can only be distilled in Kentucky... :-*

Had a friend in School from Pocahantas, Arkansas that got great white lightning from his relatives. Good for degreasing engines also.  ;)
Mad juice indeed.

It may have not been Friday, but there is a one in seven chance that I learned this on a Friday.  And that is;

Today I learned that it is really hard to make straight rips on a table saw when your fence isn't clamped down.

Naaa can't be too bad I have just snapped a line on the middle of the sheet took the fence totally off and freestyled it, just watch out for the "MERRINERRARNT!"
That's the sound it makes when it grabs the saw just right and backs you off the saw with the material, it is a similar sound when you have a 1.5 horse hand router and it starts to get away from you......

I learned that every now and again, people will surprise you with the truth.

We had a lady hit our car in the pet store parking lot and actually stuck around to find us and exchange info. I'm amazed and happy.  ;D There is a lot of hit and run stuff here.

My partner can stop my carbs leaking in one attempt when I've been trying for 4 days.....don't tell her though! :D
I've tried everything to make them leak today, left the gas tap on all day, put the bike on the side stand to flood the carb bowls......nothing....no weeping no leaks......blah I give up. ;)
I think the thing I most like about motorcycling is the speed at which my brain must process information at to avoid the numb skulls who are eating pies, playing the ukulele, applying make-up etc in the comfort of their airconditioned armchairs as they make random attempts to kill me!!!!!!!

i learned that, even though theres only oil jets at one side of the cam towers on a 750, you need to put the little o-rings on both sides, even though it;s just a recess in the head on the outside space.
Of all God's creatures there is only one that cannot be made the slave of the lash. That one is the cat. If man could be crossed with the cat it would improve man, but it would deteriorate the cat.
