Just yesterday I passed a couple on their harleys, the wife had a stuffed gorilla riding pillion with it's arm up and waving.

I have decided to flash a big old peace sign! I do it for everybody but those road hazard scooter people.

Seems appropriate for me, and no one else responds that way!

Tried the low boy scout fingers, too many of you all doing it!

A lot more people on motorcycles now and I would like to pose some questions that I am sure only my fellow SOHC owners can answer honestly.

1.   When people do not respond to a wave, are they still #$%*s?
No.
Perhaps they didn't see, or don't know the etiquette or even busy talking on a bluetooth...

2.   I wave low, are people the respond high of a different sexual orientation?
?? thats a new interpretation to me!
 ;D
Dunno on this one.
Seems the "flashy" HD riders locally like the high sign.

3.   I don’t wave to scooters traveling on the extreme right, should I be polite and just flash them a “L”?
hahahha.... I've gotten more return waves from four wheeler riders than riders of scooters.
If they are riding on the extreme right of the road, I hope they get pulled over.
Get a motor that does the posted speeds, or stay off the road IMO.
Why waste the time?

4.   When one is cut-off by another vehicle is it still cycling etiquette to flip ‘em off?

&*%^ YEAH!

At the beginning of the riding season here in snow country everyone waves to everyone, even in the city, regardless of bike type. Well, maybe not all of the accountants on new HDs, but they are probably too busy keeping it together. As the summer progresses the waves come less frequently, except out on the open road.
BTW, in rural Saskatchewan it is common for male drivers in pick-ups to wave to motorcyclists. Friendly people.

Listen to this man he speakith the truth....

About the only times i dont respond to a wave is if it comes at a time that my left hand is operating the clutch or holding the handlebar for a turn or passing movement.
