Going though a roundabout must get un-nerving at times.  It would prolly freak me out.

especially the wrong way.

we call 'em rotary in ma. i don't like the things.

Looks great.

by the time i discovered the build thread i was pretty much done with it.  i have pics of it stock, apart, and built.
i could post one but it would be after the fact.

...oh, and in new jersey they call those things traffic circles.  ...i think of em more as a public race track with with bad drivers.
i'm off to work. have a good day everyone.

Is that why most Americans stop at them even though nothing is coming  ::)..(in Boston this happens all the time - I have 2 on my short 4 mile ride to work and I they are great for cornering) ..its pretty easy....you go onto a roundabout/rotary unless there are cars on the roundabout coming from the left...if not the you keep going...what is so hard about that?  ::) ???....great for testing your tires in a corner....fun, fun...

cheers

andy... you make it sound as if you give way IN the roundabout... if you are in the roundabout, you have right of way at all times.
if you get to the roundabout and cars are coming from left, then they have right of way, and you do not enter until they pass.

simple, just like you say.   ;D

i totally digg volkswagendan's moto! dirty or not that's a sweet ride.
too bad there's no build thread  :-\
i'd love to know the parts/procedure for the rear brake light...that's exactly what i'd like to do. It there a rubber grommet where it contacts the rear of the tail?

also did i miss the fact, is that one of the nominated bikes?

**re-read entire thread...i guess i'll 5th VWDan's nomination - - got any video of that loudness by chance?

The rotaries here (western MA) suuuuck. Boston proper has s#!t roads too; Just like the rest of the roads in Taxachusetts. I hope all our money buys Teddy a cure for what's ailing him.

Back to bikes. I'd like to see those pix too VWdan! Alas, poor Loonymoon's jewel like 350 may not be apreciated for the clean survivor it is.  :'(

Ah well, just thought it might be nice, ya know... since she's thinking of selling and all. A BOTM win might convince her to keep it, thus remaining a member of the clan. Or, at least give her bittersweet memories she can cherish for years to come.  :'(

Can motorcycles cry? I think so.  :'(

I think my bike cries, but only when I want her to get off her butt and actually do something.

i grew up driving the white horse pike / cherry hill circle! that one was so dangerous that they changed it to a 5 point traffic light now.
toms river still has crazy circles though.
awesome that you knew that!

by the way, if anyone is interested i posted two more pics today. i put them on the same post as the other shots from wednesday. (as of now they're on page 2 of this thread.)

Alright the weather finally warmed up.... at 70F today, I can't complain.  I'm updating the pic that GigaWhiskey posted of mine.  And thanks GigaWhiskey for the nomination.  If Volkswagendan thought his bike was dirty, he should look at mine.  Typing with grease on my hands as we speak.  Anyway, here are some updated pics.
