Online Resources Page
« on: February 28, 2009, 11:01:42 AM »
I recently found in the Forums an "online resources page" posted by SteveD CB500F, '05. GREAT PAGE! I wish i had found this long ago. Tried "davidsilerspares", and found NEW side covers with EMBLEMS! for my '78 750K. I have searcched far and wide for emblems. Missed on ebay by 3 secands for a set, used, that went for more than new at "davidsilvers". Must have taken quite some time to compile all those links. An effort for another SOHC4 lover I guess. Thanks from "audiofile". These Forums are almost addicting, so much knowledge, and volintary help. Maybe our new economic leaders could use your help.

Before bidding for ANYTHING on eBay, check out the price on DSS or cmsnl.com - you'd be amazed at how some people will bid over the price for new.

Not all DSS stuff is NOS of course, but you'r right about covers - once painted, who's going to know?

It is a great page, I have used it a lot.
I don't have a motorcycle, sold it ('85 Yamaha Venture Royale).  Haven't had a CB750 for over 40 years.

I tried cmsnland they did not have emblems for the k8's.
I watched the bidding on one Used cover go to $200, more than I paid for 2 new at davidsilers, and they were in need of paint. I haven't heard of DSS but I'll try them. I have 4 into 1 headers, and want to replace the slip on muffler, or "silencer", as the Brits call them. The set I have is w/o a baffle, and the Cops can here me from a mile away when I get on it. I need advice on where to go to find the wright type that wont require a lot of carb adjusting, not one of my many talents. Can't find a brand on the old one. Megaphone style w/o baffle, and it runs great the way it is, I'd like to change as little as possible, just the decibels and not the performance. Looked at jc whitney, denniskirk, crc, and others. All sound good in the ads.  :-\

DSS prices don't include VAT or freight.

Good thing is that you won't have to pay VAT and the £/$ rate at the moment means some stonking deals!
